Scope

ITS EDUNET is an informal network whose SCOPE is to keep up-to-date all members – who belong to European Universities and are involved in the disciplines of Transport Engineering, Transport Systems, Transport science and technology, at an academic level – with particular attention to the topics of ITS and technological innovation in the transport domain, including mobility, traffic, logistics and freight. It is therefore essential for this academic network to maintain colleagues reciprocally informed on changes in the educational offer at degree and at master degree or M.Sc. levels, when deemed useful, on new initiatives related to research and didactic laboratories, to update members on Ph.D. courses, on occasional specialisation subjects, on possible internships also including companies, provided they are under an academic tutoring, on specific courses useful for ERASMUS+ exchanges, and the like. The existence of ITS EDUNET can come useful in order to help, on occasion, to select members for Ph.D. commissions, for academic competitions or selections, for the revision process of papers, in the case of special sessions of congresses on the topics dealt with by this network, as well as for preparing “special issues” associated with scientific congresses or seminars in the transport technology and ITS domains. Finally, the network may result useful for a greater coordination – at European level – in the development of education and research. This network is not intended to have the character of urgency nor to fulfil pre-established periodic obligations – being aware that this may place the network itself in second-order commitments – but it is intended to come useful in constituting a free interrelationship, without economic or financial duties, from which professors and researchers can leave at any time; the entrance is instead subject to the presentation promoted by at least one of the members, on the base of Candidate’s competence in the abovementioned subjects.
